Solid chestnut wood pergola with a waterproof cañizo roof

The client wanted a waterproof outdoor area where they could relax in the afternoons and enjoy the surroundings, so we created the perfect space without detracting from the natural character of the location.

For this pergola, we used solid chestnut wood, one of our favourites, due to its natural curves and golden colours. We worked the wood a little more to achieve the characteristic tones and irregularities that evoke the Mediterranean style.

The roof combines Spanish cañizo, which gives it a rustic and traditional feel, with a transparent, waterproof polyester sheet placed on top to protect it from the rain.
