Chestnut wood pergola with waterproof bamboo roofing

The clients were looking for privacy as well as a space where they could relax and enjoy the incredible views from this shaded balcony. They chose chestnut wood for its irregular, authentic pattern, which reveals the characteristic curves and imperfections of the Mediterranean style.

The roof is made of layers of varnished bamboo and polyester fibre, which protects the pergola from the rain.

For the side enclosure, four 360° rotating panels have been custom-made, also from chestnut wood with bamboo.
